Tour Itinerary

  • Fly to Gondar. Drive to Debark for park formalities. Trek to Sankabar camp. Encounter Gelada baboons. Overnight camping.

  • Trek 5-6 hours to Geech camp. Enjoy stunning scenery and wildlife. Overnight camping at Geech (3,600m).

  • Day hike to Imet Gogo viewpoint. Visit Seha and Quedadit. Return to Geech camp.

  • Trek through Giant Lobelia forests to Chenek. Picnic at Enatye escarpment. Spot Walia ibex. Overnight camping.

  • Trek 9-10 hours over Bwahit Pass (4,200m) and down to Mesheha Valley. Ascend to Ambiquo. Overnight camping.

  • Early start for summit day. Trek 16km to Ras Dashen (4,543m). Enjoy panoramic views. Return to Ambiquo camp.

  • Trek back towards Chenek. Enjoy final views of the Simien Mountains. Overnight camping at Chenek.

  • Descend to trailhead. Drive to Gondar. Visit Royal Enclosure. Transfer to airport for flight to Addis Ababa.
